According to the report issued by the SBIF, companies from the national banking system have experienced an increase in their electronic operations, with a two million users increase from June 2000, with only 219 thousand ciber-clients. Nowadays there are about three million clients operating through internet.
Thus, compared to on-site transactions, internet transactions have shown an increasingly relevant role thanks to the impact of internet access and use amongst Chilean people. According to the SBIF, in June 2010 online banking transactions reached 145 millions.
